Terms & Conditions

Our priority is the wellbeing of all our guests and to ensure they have a comfortable and homely holiday with us at Apple Tree Cattery.

All guests must be fully vaccinated against feline enteritis and feline cat flu. A current vaccination certificate must be shown on arrival and the vaccination card must remain with us for the duration of your cat's stay. All primary vaccinations and booster vaccinations must have been completed at least 14 days prior to boarding.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of illness or poor health on arrival, where admission would pose a risk to the health or welfare of other guests or staff.

We ask that all guests are treated for worms and fleas prior to their stay. If any guest is found to have fleas or worms during boarding, the appropriate treatment will be administered and you will be charged accordingly.

For safety reasons, we ask that you remove your cat's collar prior to boarding.

The welfare of our guests is our priority. If your cat becomes unwell during their stay, they will be treated by your own veterinary practice where possible, or by our local veterinary practice if necessary. You will be responsible for any veterinary fees incurred.

Any cat requiring isolation for illness will be cared for in our isolation unit for their comfort and to protect the wellbeing of other guests.

All male cats over the age of seven (7) months must be neutered.

We feed each guest according to their individual needs, providing the same food they receive at home where possible. Meals are served two to three times daily, with kittens and elderly cats fed according to their specific requirements. Fresh water and biscuits are available at all times. If your cat requires a special diet, we may be able to provide suitable food at no additional cost, although in some circumstances you may be asked to supply your own food. No discount will be applied where owners provide their own food. Please contact us in advance to confirm dietary requirements. Treats such as chicken, fish, tuna and prawns may be given where permitted.

We accept cats with special dietary needs and those requiring medication.

Viewings of our facilities are welcome by appointment; please contact us to arrange a visit.

We recommend that cats are transported in a secure carrier and that all clasps are checked prior to arrival and departure. Owners remain responsible for their cat(s) until they are safely placed into their allocated suite.

A comprehensive insurance policy is in place at Apple Tree Cattery; however, this does not cover pre-existing medical conditions or conditions that may reoccur.

An administration fee of £20.00 may be charged for changes to confirmed bookings to cover administrative costs and diary amendments. All changes are subject to availability and cannot always be accommodated.

Cancellation Policy

When a booking is cancelled, it is not always possible to re-let the accommodation at short notice. As such, cancellation charges are applied to reflect the loss incurred due to unused accommodation.

We therefore ask customers to book carefully, as changes and cancellations cannot always be accommodated without charge.
